The then-manager opened ISOS International, headquartered in Ernster, Luxembourg, in a room of her house.<\/p>

Initially, it was a sole proprietorship that harvested a few femoral heads in Luxembourg and Brussels, processed occasionally by Tutogen in Neunkirchen, Germany, using an organic solvent dehydration method known as Tutoplast\u00ae.<\/p>

The business remained modest for over ten years.<\/p>

Luc A. ALBY, who had long been collaborating with Tutogen in France, took an interest in this small entity, foreseeing a prosperous future, particularly due to Directive 2006\/17\/EC and the status it defined for allografts and their distribution across Europe.<\/p>

He seized this opportunity to request, and subsequently obtained, a \u00ab\u00a0tissue bank\u00a0\u00bb license in 2007 from the Luxembourg Minister of Health.<\/p>

Luc A. ALBY became a partner in the company and took over its management.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHe relocated the headquarters to the current premises of the Luxembourg Bone and Tissue Bank (LBTB) and developed a strategy strongly focused on exportation.\n

\nSimultaneously, he replaced Tutogen with other partners and expanded the supply to include human tissues from deceased donors in the United States and Korea, significantly diversifying the offerings and reducing costs.\n

\nThis strategy of diversification and conquest of new markets continues.\n

\nISOS was officially renamed Luxembourg Bone and Tissue Bank (LBTB).\n

\nFollowing the 2015 Directive, LBTB became an accredited Tissue Establishment at the European level.\n

\nThe company today has 5 employees and remains the only private Tissue Establishment in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.\n

\nIn 2021, LBTB partnered with Groupe L\u00e9pine, based in Genay, France. This synergy with its subsidiary, Tissue Bank of France (TBF) located in Mions, supported this acquisition. TBF, historically the first French tissue bank, devotes the majority of its resources to increasing its leadership in the domestic market, as well as to innovation and research.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
